Guardianship Information

International students not living with a parent or designated caregiver must have a Christchurch based guardian who does not live in the homestay. This guardian must be aged 25 years or older and be a permanent resident of New Zealand.

There are 3 guardianship options:

• In - school guardianship (there is an extra charge for this)
• A  guardian  employed through a Christchurch guardianship company
• A  relative or friend of the parent.
